Here at the Marston Optometry, we understand that early detection is vital to the health of your eyes. That is why we offer our patients Optomap. The Optomap is a digital photograph of the retina. This retinal image captures more than 80% of the retina as opposed to the 10-12% seen by undilated viewing. Optomap allows our doctors to see early signs of serious eye health issues such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMO), and Glaucoma. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated the power of the Optomap as a diagnostic tool in addition to dilation.

Optovue retinal scanning is a state of art Optical Coherence Tomography technology. This allows our doctors a three-dimensional view of the cross-section of the tissue of the eye. It also makes it possible to see beneath the surface of the retina, where signs of disease first appear.

Visual Field Testing determines the full horizontal and vertical range of what a person can see peripherally. Most people commonly refer to this as “Side Vision.” The visual field test assesses the potential presence of blind spot (Scotomas) which can be an indicator of eye disease.

The Autophoropter is the fastest, easiest, and most accurate way to check a patient’s prescription. It allows for more detailed measurements and reduced error in determining your correct spectacle prescription.

Our Visioffice allows our optician to take up to 20 measurements to personally customized your lenses. We can then recommend the most advanced, state-of-the-art lenses that will meet your visual needs.
