Contact Lens Evaluation

At Marston Optometry, we understand that few things affect the quality of your life more than the health of your eyes. Therefore, your personal eye health is a priority to our Optometrists. High-quality contact lenses may be an option you are considering for your eye health. Our Optometrists will ensure you get the most suitable lens for your lifestyle, the correct fit as well as proper contact lens training.

Contact lenses are prescription medical devices. Companies design and manufacture brands differently. You must select a contact lens based on your individual vision problems, prescription, eye health, comfort requirements, lifestyle, age, and physiological factors such as tear flow.

Our Optometrists discuss the lens types and brand options with you. Because everyone’s eyes and vision needs are different, manufacturers make different contact lenses with different schedules for removal and replacement. We teach you how to properly clean and wear your new contact lenses to maximize how well you can see with them and minimize potential risks.

We also offer the latest solutions in contact wear for patients who need bifocals or those with astigmatism.

If you are considering contact lenses, you can expect a three-step eye evaluation:

  • Vision history review;
  • Cornea, eyelid and tear film examination; and
  • Consultation with a Doctor to discuss contact lens recommendations and options.
